$3.5 Million in budget cuts have been announced for the University of Nebraska's Lincoln campus. Woman dead in Fremont Crash
A woman is dead after a collision between a semi and a car on Highway 77 south of Fremont today.... it happened just before 8 a.m. this morning (Tuesday), about a mile south of Fremont. College Funding Dispute Resolved
Nebraska's six community colleges are resolving their funding dispute, and Metropolitan Community College is dropping its lawsuit against the other colleges. State Sen. Greg Adams of York announced the agreement Tuesday afternoon. Veto overturned, Bills Advanced
Nebraska lawmakers have easily overturned Gov. Dave Heineman's first veto of the legislative session. 38 state senators voted to override Heineman's veto of a bill (LB867) that will increase to $1,000 the cost of licenses that liquor manufacturers must have to ship liquor into the state. Task Force Shuts Down Massive Marijuana Operation
Five men are in jail, after members of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Drug Task Force seize three massive marijuana growing sites in a single operation across the city. Police Chief Tom Casady says search warrants were served at 5210 North 11th, 3260 Dudley and 2620 Norman Circle last weekend.

Home invasion robbery on South 19th Street
While you were sleeping early Tuesday morning, three men from Omaha broke into an apartment at 623 South 19th Street. One man carried an AK-47 assault-style rifle. Council looking at change in dance ordinance
Lincoln's dance ordinances date back to the 1930s, prohibiting teens younger than 19 from attending dances in clubs and bars after 9pm. Next week, the City Council votes on changing the age of 18. If no alcohol is served, people 18 and older can attend an adult dance without supervision. Teens 16 and older are allowed in bars as long as there's no dancing.
