LINCOLN -- A 36-year-old Lincoln man faces a charge of theft by unlawful taking, after he allegedly tried to sell equipment belonging to his employer at a weekend swap meet inside the Lancaster Event Center. Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood says the owner happened to see Eric Supencheck trying to sell the equipment. When officers showed up, Supencheck was arrested. Flood says the owner happened to see Eric Supencheck trying to sell chain hooks, harnesses and lifting straps, worth $3,700. When officers showed up, Supencheck was arrested on suspicion of theft by unlawful taking. A search warrant of Supencheck's home near 64th and Leighton also revealed another $1,700 worth of tools.
