The man who owns and operates all those U-Stop convenience stores around Lincoln has made it official. Mark Whitehead has filed for Lincoln City Council, collecting 330 signatures to the Lancaster County Election office...more than twice as many a needed. Whitehead says he's hearing a lot from people about the need for more transparency in government and wishing city government was more open and forthcoming with information, so he's running to represent local business owners who want to see regulation and certain processed streamlined.
