Lincoln Police arrested a 30-year-old man for 1st-degree forgery after he used counterfeit money to pay for a room at the Quality Inn hotel near the Lincoln Airport yesterday (Monday). Officer Katie Flood said that Jesse Hare was later tracked down in a traffic stop south of 27th and Cornhusker, where officers found counterfeit cash on him. The woman driving the vehicle Hare was in was interviewed and not cited. Investigators also seized paper and a paper cutter from another vehicle belonging to another woman and found ink inside Hare's hotel room. He was arrested for 1st-degree forgery. The other woman was also interviewed and not cited.
