A small gathering at a duplex in the 1400 Block of South 11^th turned violent when a woman was allegedly called a foul name. Sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday, a 51-year-old man was having a party at his house when a woman attending used his cell phone to invite about ten other people. One of the guests became upset with the resident over an apparent name-calling incident and began to punch the man. Several women also joined in the assault during which time the man’s wallet was taken. His cell phone was also missing. Police have no suspects in the case.
