A child and an adult living in Lancaster County have died of the flu. Health Director Judy Halstead says neither were immunized, prompting Halstead to reiterate a strong recommendation that all individuals age 6 months and older have a flu immunization as soon as possible. It takes 2 weeks for the vaccination to offer full protection. Halstead also points out that the number of flu cases is very high in Lincoln and Lancaster County.
