Police need your help finding a man who took a 63-year-old Lincoln woman's purse last Friday afternoon at Southpointe Pavillions. Officer Katie Flood said that the victim was walking through the center courtyard when a man came up and grabbed her purse. The victim held on and got into a tug of war with the man before he ripped it away and took off, heading northwest from the mall. Officer Katie Flood reported that the woman, who is a marathon runner, gave chase and had two other men help her before he eventually got away. Flood said that the purse was recovered and there was no loss. She did say the victim suffered a broken finger that required surgery. The description police have of the suspect is a white male in his 30s, about 5-11 and 200 pounds. If you have information on this case, call Crime Stoppers at 475-3600.
