The man authorities are looking for in the murder of Tyler Schoenrock of Lincoln has been involved in gangs. Adrian Casares went to jail in a 2010 gang crackdown in Grand Island; 13 East Side Locos gang members were arrested. Casares was also linked to the beating of a North Platte boy as part of a gang initiation. He's been out of jail since May. Authorities believe he was in Lincoln on Sunday, December 30th, the morning Schoenrock was shot 3 times on a country road between Bluff and Waverly Roads. Our television partner, 10/11 NEWS, reports that an arrest warrant says Miguel Castillo and Schoenrock were drinking together the night he was killed. Casares and Castillo thought Schoenrock was a snitch, forcing him to his knees and putting a gun in his mouth. Castillo and Casares left, only to return hours later to drive Schoenrock to the country where he was killed. Yesterday (Monday), Castillo was arraigned for being an accessory to Schoenrock's murder.
