Lincoln is being recognized by "American City and County" magazine as a Crown Community for its historic partnership in the Antelope Valley Project. On the KFOR Morning Show, Mayor Beutler pointed out the December issue of the monthly publication features a cover photo of Union Plaza, the city's new park dedicated in September. The article focuses on the monumental task of removing more than 300 commercial buildings, nearly 1,000 residences and 50 acres of UN-L property from the 100 year flood plain.Lincoln made it onto a lot of lists in 2012, including #1 Best City for Jobs, #5 Best City for Raising a Family and #7 Best City for Business and Careers.
