Bair Estate Gives Big Gift To Community Foundatiom

Eleven non-profit agencies received a large and unexpected gift today (Tuesday.) The Harley Bair Estate left a $2.6 Million gift to the Lincoln Community Foundation to benefit those agencies and provide scholarships. The Child Advocacy Center, Friendship Home, Shriner’s Hospitals, Masonic Children's Home, Salvation Army, the ARC of Lincoln, Community Blood Bank, Lancaster Youth Softball Association, Eastmont Towers Foundation, People's City Mission, and Food Bank of Lincoln will each receive an estimated $10,000 per year from the endowment. It will also provide a $50,000 scholarship annually on behalf of the Lincoln Rotary Club. Bair died in 2011, and family members said today that he left the money to organizations he cared about and would benefit Lincoln.
