A 26-year-old man has been given two life terms for fatally stabbing two people at his home in the Nebraska Panhandle city of Alliance. Dominick Dubray was also sentenced to 30-40 years in prison on two weapons charges. Dubray was found guilty by a Box Butte County jury on Oct. 15. Prosecutors say Dubray killed 22-year-old Catalina Chavez of Alliance, and 42-year-old Mike Loutzenhiser of Scottsbluff last Feb. 11. Prosecutors say that the incident stemmed from an act of rage that erupted from a domestic dispute between Dubray and Chavez. The defense says Dubray was acting in self-defense. Dubray says he intends to appeal.
