Allegedly Drunken Burglar Steals Games

A strange burglary occurred in Lincoln Saturday afternoon in the 1400 Block of North 24th. It involved a fearless, apparently intoxicated suspect. According to Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood, around 2:45 Saturday afternoon, three people were in the living room of a home when they heard a loud banging at the back door. The noise intensified and the door suddenly flew open. It was reported that an allegedly intoxicated, unknown man then entered the residence and began helping himself to video games and consoles while the three people retreated to a bedroom and called 911. The suspect, 25-year-old Andra Mitchell, then allegedly ran from the house, headed south. He was stopped by police and arrested after a short foot pursuit. He was carrying games believed to have been taken from the residence.   Mitchell was charged with Burglary and Failure to Comply.
