Police Investigating High Dollar Burglary
Residents living in the 5700 Block of Harding Drive were rudely awakened early Sunday morning by animal control officers returning their dog. It was then discovered that someone had forced entry into their home through an unsecured garage door and stolen over $6,000 worth of items, including several guns. Police Officer Katie Flood said that a neighbor reported seeing an unknown male in the street dropping packages as he went around the time of the burglary. The witness said that the individual got into a dark gray 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday. Four other burglaries to vehicles in the area were reported Sunday morning, leading investigators to believe that the incidents are related.
