A Lincoln woman accused of faking a hate crime has withdrawn a motion to move her trial out of Lincoln. Charlie Rogers' lawyer has backed out of the change-of-venue request and is preparing for trial on January 7th. Lancaster County Judge Gale Pokorny overruled the motion with prejudice, which means Rogers can't try to move her trial again. Rogers has been charged with faking a hate crime attack last July; she claims that 3 masked men broke into her home, assaulted her and carved anti-gay slurs in her arms and abdomen, then spray-painted anti-gay slurs on her walls and tried to set her house on fire.
