Small Business Saturday Offers Unique Shopping Experience

Small Business Saturday is a coordinated promotion among several dozen downtown Lincoln retail stores. All those participating will have refreshments for shoppers, each will have their own special discounts, and anyone who shops at a participating locally-owned downtown store on Saturday will be placed in a drawing for a one hundred dollar gift card.

Nicole Dewald, the owner of Duo Shoes, said that new stores are opening regularly downtown. She said that anyone who hasn't shopped the area for a while may be surprised by the amount and variety of shopping available. Dewald also emphasized that the downtown merchants are all small, locally-owned businesses, and offer a different atmosphere for shoppers than larger chain stores.
