The cause of an apartment fire just north of 44th and Huntington remains under investigation. Lincoln Firefighters were called around 2:45 this morning (Wednesday), after a police officer in the neighborhood saw a fire coming from a unit. Battalion Chief Eric Jones told KFOR News at the scene that firefighters did see heavy flames coming from the second floor unit when they arrived and quickly knocked it down. No injuries were reported.
