There’s a big difference of opinion this morning (Friday). Governor Heineman is enrolling Nebraska in a federally run health exchange program, saying a state-based option is too inflexible and too expensive, nearly $470 million more for the state exchange than the $176 million federal exchange, but Omaha Senator, Jeremy Nordquist wonders where the governor is getting his numbers, saying in a prepared release that the projected annual budget for a state exchange was $17 1/2 million. The free market advocacy group, Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska, applauds Governor Heineman's decision, saying the governor made the right call for Nebraska taxpayers.
