There have been more pedestrians killed on Nebraska roadways this year than in any year since 2000. Fourteen people have died, up 250% compared to a year ago. Triple-A Motor Club strongly recommends that pedestrians NOT use mobile devices while walking near roadways and don't try walking home after drinking. Call a cab or ask a friend to take you home. Drivers need to pay attention, too. Don't text or get distracted in traffic.
