Waverly Woman Kidnapped and Raped; Suspect Arrested

A 24-year-old Waverly woman has been treated and released from a hospital after she was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a man she recognized from when he worked at a Waverly convenience store. Lancaster County Sheriff's Captain Gary Juilfs says the woman was surprised to see the man at her door step late Saturday morning. Captain Juilfs said the victim was taken out to a rural area and allegedly raped for several hours before being dropped off at a Waverly street corner. Around 1 o'clock Sunday morning, investigators tracked down 25-year-old Frederick Johnson walking near 43rd and Cornhusker. He was arrested and charged with kidnapping, terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony and 1st-degree sexual assault.
