A motorcyclist is dead because of an accident along U.S. Highway 75 north of Omaha. The accident happened about 6 a.m. Thursday in the Nashville area on the south end of Washington County. The motorcycle was northbound when the driver apparently lost control after hitting an animal and swerved into a guardrail. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn't been released.
