Blaze Personality Sparky Battles On

A member of our Three Eagles radio family is in the fight for his life and his listeners are stepping up to help out. A special fundraiser for 104.1 “The Blaze” on-air personality Sparky was held yesterday (Sunday) at Cappy's Bar near 48th and Highway 2. For the past 18 months, Sparky has been battling cancer and has taken a leave of absence to undergo treatment. Blaze personality Jill told KFOR News that Sparky isn't feeling the best since he's been undergoing chemotherapy. She said that everyone felt something needed to be done to help pay medical bills for his treatment. Sparky is expected to have his bone marrow taken out today (Monday) and continue chemotherapy. A silent auction full of several items, including signed guitars and photos from bands were raffled off at Sunday's fundraiser. If you would like to make a donation toward Sparky's treatment, send it to any West Gate Bank location in Lincoln and make it out to "The Blaze To Benefit Sparky."
