Deputies are investigating a couple of church burglaries near Waverly. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said they were called yesterday (Monday) to the Bethlehem Covenant Church near 98th and Davey Road. Someone had apparently gotten in through an unlocked door and took $3,500 worth of electronics. While deputies were working that case, they happened to stumble upon another break-in at the Cedar Hill Methodist Church, 23001 North 162nd Street, where there were signs of a forced entry. The only things missing were two file cabinets full of church records. Police have no suspects in either case.
