Start calling the Cornhusker Hotel the Cornhusker Marriott. The Marcus Corporation out of Milwaukee, the same company that bought up all of Lincoln's movie theatres in 2008, has purchased the 297 room Cornhusker Hotel and adjacent Office Plaza for an undisclosed amount of money. Marcus plans to make multi-million dollar renovations to the lobby, all guest rooms and suites, meeting space, restaurants and bars. The Marcus Corporation has a history of renovating downtown hotels. They've done The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee and the Hotel Phillips in Kansas City.
