University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor, Harvey Perlman, is making increased enrollment and reduced spending his priorities this academic year. During his State of the University address yesterday (Tuesday), Perlman said UN-L plans to handle a $6 million shortfall by reducing spending by 1/2%. Plus, unspent salary increases will cover about $4 million of the shortfall. Chancellor Perlman also said the university needs to actively pursue every Nebraska high school graduate, as a way to attract and keep talented young adults in the state.
