LINCOLN -- You may want to double-check your vehicles, if you live close to 48th and Pioneers, to see if someone may have gotten inside to steal belongings. Three teens are in custody as a result of someone seeing them walking and looking into cars in the 4600 block of Linden just after 5am Wednesday. When police arrived, they found an 18-year-old and 19-year-old attempting to enter unlocked vehicles. A third male was located a block away. Officer Katie Flood says that inside the 19-year-old's pocket was a key and key fob. When officers pushed the lock button, lights were activated on a 2009 Pontiac Grand Prix parked nearby with the keys in the ignition. Flood says that one of the men climbed through an open window to the garage and stole the vehicle. A laptop and coins were also found with the men. Officers are not sure exactly how many vehicles were broken into. All three men, 18-year-olds Cody Sharp and Richard McLaughlin and 19-year-old Mathew Hall, are in jail on accounts of burglary and auto theft.
