BENNET -- Recent car larcenies in the eastern part of Lancaster County may be linked to a couple of Iowa men caught rummaging through a 67-year-old man's vehicle just after 2am Wednesday near 190th and Roca Road. Both men, 20-year-old Kevin Booher of Council Bluffs and 23-year-old Christopher McDaniel of Pacific Junction, were caught by deputies north of Bennet after they were chased away by the victim. Sheriff Terry Wagner says possible they may be involved with other larcenies or burglaries recently in the eastern part of Lancaster County, since some of the items seen in the car during the traffic stop did not belong to the 67-year-old man. Wagner says people in that part of the county should check their vehicles to see if they may have been victims, too. In some cases, thieves got into unlocked garages.
