Reprise RecordsOn Monday, Green Day gave us the first taste of their upcoming album trilogy by releasing a lyric video for “Oh Love.” Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong says that the track deals with the balance between love and lust.
"'Oh Love' is kind of like leading with your heart and not necessarily with your brain as much," Armstrong tells MTV News. "And [also] kind of maybe losing your mind, and shooting a little bit more from the crotch area." Bassist Mike Dirnt added that the track “pulls from the heartstrings" and is about "love and sexual tension.”
Dirnt reveals that the upcoming video for "Oh Love" will feature “some real fun scenes that might involve motorcycles…playing live and possibly some chaos backstage.”
¡Uno! is set arrive in stores on September 25 while ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! are slated for release on November 13, 2012 and January 15, 2013, respectively.
