Good news for fans of Korn: frontman Jonathan Davis has revealed the band is getting ready to begin work on a new record. The singer says that fans can expect the music on their forthcoming release to be very different from their 2011 dubstep album, The Path of Totality.
"Our motto is to keep ever-evolving," Davis tells Billboard.com. "I'm sure there'll still be some electronic influence in there, but I don't think it'll be like the last one and go to all those different guys again. We'll switch it up and try to do something new, 'cause that's how we work."
Davis added that he’s has been busy creating music as his DJ alter ego, J Devil. "After every Korn show I come offstage, take a shower and I start writing," explains the singer. In addition, Davis notes that the forthcoming J Devil tracks will be “the most crazy aural experience you'll have in your life,” and that he will sing on some of them.
While he has yet to announce a release date for his J Devil album, you’ll get your first chance to hear the new songs when he hits the road to support Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie on their Twins of Evil Tour. That outing kicks off on September 28 at the Ashley Furniture Home Store Pavilion in Phoenix, AZ.
