Monkeytown RecordsIn late 2009, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke formed a supergroup called Atoms for Peace with bassist Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco. Now, the band is finally ready to release their two-track debut album, 50WEAPONSXTR01.
You heard right -- the new release features only two tracks: an Atoms for Peace remix of a previously unreleased song by Other Lives, titled “Tamer Animals,” and a special “Stuck Together Remix” of Atoms for Peace’s single “Other Side.”
Atoms for Peace’s remix of “Tamer Animals” is currently streaming on Soundcloud. 50WEAPONSXTR01 will be available on 12” vinyl and at all the usual digital outlets on August 3. You can pre-order the release now at MonkeytownRecords.com.
