Bob Dylan's "Tempest" to Touch Down in September

PRNewsFoto/Columbia RecordsBob Dylan's 35th studio album, Tempest, is scheduled to arrive on September 11.  The recording, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the release of the folk-rock legend's self-titled debut effort, will feature 10 new compositions by the revered singer/songwriter.  Dylan produced the collection under his oft-used pseudonym Jack Frost.

In an interview this past March with The Aspen Times, Los Lobos singer/guitarist David Hidalgo revealed that he contributed some traditional Mexican instrumentation to the upcoming album.  He said working with Dylan "was a great experience," adding, "It's an amazing thing, how he keeps creativity.  I don't see how he does it."

Dylan is nearing the end of a European summer tour and will begin a North American trek next month.  The stateside outing gets under way August 11 in Lloydminster, Canada, and currently is scheduled through a September 9 concert in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Visit BobDylan.com to check out all of his forthcoming shows.
