Serj Tankian Unveils Politically-Charged Video for "Harakiri"

Vahan StepanianSerj Tankian has released the video for the title track from his recently-released album, Harakiri. The politically-charged clip, which can be viewed on RollingStone.com, features Tankian singing the track as he walks around a deserted town, images that are mixed with scenes of war and natural disasters. It also includes clips of a speech from former President Ronald Reagan, an excerpt from former President Lyndon Johnson’s controversial 1964 nuclear war-themed political advertisement “Daisy,” and quotes from Ralph Waldo Emerson and Jean-Paul Sartre.

In other Tankian news, he'll be hitting the road with System of a Down for a two-week string of North American dates this summer. That outing kicks off on August 2 at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Philadelphia, PA. Deftones will support the band on all dates.
