Hot and dry = Dangerous 4th of July

This hot weather pattern with very little rain could continue over the next 10 days.  It also means an increased fire danger as head toward the Fourth of July next week, with people planning to shoot off fireworks.   State Climatologist Al Dutcher tells KFOR News the rain we received here in Lincoln a week ago did green up the grass, but it's not enough to keep the ground moist for weeks on end.  He says the drought situation in Nebraska could continue over the next 90 days, due to an outlook of above normal temps and below normal moisture.
