Godsmack has been forced to cancel the rest of their European tour dates because frontman Sully Erna is having problems with his vocal cords. The announcement came on Wednesday after the singer was examined by throat specialists and advised to not sing for the next several weeks in order to allow time for him to heal.
“Sorry Europe,” said Erna in a statement. “For now it's lots of rest and fluids for me until my vocal specialist clears me to sing again. My deepest apologies Europe! You'll see us again. Thanks for your support and understanding."
The tour marked the first time that Godsmack had performed in Europe in almost nine years. They were only able to perform two of their fourteen scheduled dates before the shows were canceled.
