LINCOLN -- An employee of Lincoln Expresso at 16th and "O" is okay after a robbery attempt early Thursday morning. Police Officer Katie Flood says the 28-year-old victim reported that a man walked in and demanded her to hand over the money, while making threats. She refused to hand him any money. The suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Jeffrey Sheppard, left the store and police located him a short time later at 17th and "L." After he was positively identified by the clerk, Sheppard was arrested for attempted robbery.
