A Lincoln firefighter has been arrested for possession of child pornography.
A probable cause affidavit says that Lincoln Police were investigating computers that were sharing sexually explicit files involving children under age 18 online. On December 12th, an IP address was identified as possibly having shared files depicting sexual activity between a male adult and a child.
A search warrant was served on Tuesday at the home of Daniel King, a driver for the Lincoln Fire Department. King’s computer matched the one involved in the file sharing investigation from December 12th.
According to court documents, police found other files consistent with file sharing and child pornography was located on the computer and external drive.
King was lodged in jail Tuesday. He's expected in court February 7.
