Butch Vig, Trent Reznor Featured in Sound City Documentary Preview



SoundCityMovie.comFoo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has posted a preview online of his new documentary about Sound City Studios, where he and Nirvana recorded the band's 1991 iconic album, Nevermind

The 52-second clip features interview footage of Butch Vig, Trent Reznor, Tom Petty, Mick Fleetwood and John Fogerty discussing their experiences recording at the legendary studio and working with its analog recording console, the Neve 8028.

“There’s just something about the Neve sound that my ear’s always been attuned to,” says Reznor. Vig also paid tribute to the console adding, “The Neve has incredible character, probably too much character."

Sound City is also expected to include new music and interviews with Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy and guitarist Warren DeMartini, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Joshua Homme, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, Rick Springfield and many more.

A release date for the film has yet to be announced.
